06.14.05 - 12:25 am So I got a job. Yesterday at my grad party my aunt told me that they could use some part time help where she works. One of the assistants called in sick today so my aunt called me and told me that I could drop by to see what they do there. She works at a vet rehab clinic down the road, so I stopped by for a few hours to get acquainted and meet the other employees. My aunt called me while I was at work (LaxNW) and told me that she hadn't talked to the doctor yet about hiring me, but when I got home she called again and told me that I got the job! What a painless, awesome process. I still interview with my mom's company tomorrow, so I might get a couple of jobs through them, too. All of this money equals one thing (well many things, but this is one that I'm looking forward to): trips. There's a beach trip in the process, a Jack Johnson trip, and Dross and I just planned some more of our Seattle trip. It sounds something like this: take a 6 AM train to Seattle, spend a day there, and then take the 6 AM the next morning. Missing something, say, overnight plans? That's right, we're saving money on hotels by not booking one. We can take in the sights during the day and club all night, not worry about sleep while we're there because we can sleep on the ride home. I don't think that the parents would dig that, but we'd just tell them that we'll book a place when we get there...and we always could, there's those cheap motels all over. Even $100 for a night wouldn't be too bad. But I think the Seattle trip is going to wait until I get back from Vail/Annapolis. I'm tired and have to do the laundry. Goodnight.
