I have no idea how I'm going to make it through tomorrow. This game is quite possibly the biggest game I've ever played. West Linn/Wilsonville of last year was incredible, no doubt, but this year we've got a better team, and we haven't played Sunset since the first game of our 2003 season. I think that we can pull it off. Today's practice was at the ass field that is 12th and Stark because track had a meet, so we played for maybe 30 minutes in knee-high grass. Sophie twisted her ankle, and we're all hoping that she's okay for tomorrow. Sidinie is out, and Bergitte's sick, so our team has 13 people on it. That is bad because 12 people from one team are on he field at a time. We're swinging two girls from JV, but Tucker doesn't always use her subs.

Today after practice the entire team came over to my house (coaches and all) and we had a spaghetti dinner and made t-shirts for tomorrow. It was really nice to have the team over. I sat there at the table just listening to my team and watching the incredible bond that we all have. Sure, we're not OSAA sanctioned, we may not have much importance to many other people, but wew've got such a bond, such a strong cohesive atmosphere that comes from people from all different aspects of Lincoln. From sophomores to seniors, partiers to the studious, Full IB-ers, cheerleaders, 3-season varsity letter winners, people who don't play any other sports, the laid back, the super intense, all of it, and our coaches as unifying figures. I have so much respect for every girl on the team. We're not 15 lacrosse players, we're the Lincoln Lady Cardinal Lacrosse team. It's a genius combo.

Speaking of the laxers and them being at my house (and at the same time transitioning into my next short subject!) someone asked what day it was at dinner and my dad goes "4-20, heehee!" God, what a pimp. My dad was a total stoner in college, apparently. What a guy. So yeah, today was 4-20. Every word that I heard walking down a sparsely-populated senior hall was about 'celebrating' or something to that extent. Honestly, do you think people don't know what's going on? At this point they probably don't care. I was surprised at the small number of people who were high at practice today. Last year we had a game on 4-20 and half of the team (if not more) was high. Many of the girls happened to have their best games of the entire season that day. It was pretty funny.

I, however, was not high. It was fun to pretend, though :D Hope you all had an awesome 4-20!
