04.18.05 - 10:48 pm I don't know if many of you remember, but I fractured my wrist last summer about a week before the end of school. I slipped on a stairway landing between freshman and junior hall on some water. It was embarrassing as hell. Probably none of you saw the awesome brace that I had to wear for the following month to put it back into place, so you don't quite know the full awesomeness of it. It's beige, it's got three velcro straps, one with a metal clasp on it. It's got two solid metal pieces holding my wrist in place. And now it's back on my arm. A year later, three days before the most important game of my life, my wrist starts to hurt again. Can I get a big WHAT THE FUCK!?!? I'm fighting off a cold and now I've screwed up my wrist again. What the crap. This is so stupid. I don't want to tell Tucker (my coach) because she'll beat me up and start freaking out. I didn't want to tell my parents, but they saw the ice on it so I kind of had to. I'd usually just play something like this off, but I've got the SUNSET game on Thursday, State tryouts on Friday (not that I'm worried, honestly) and Grant and Oregon City the week after. And, thinking long term, because it took a month and a half to heal last time, Vail and Cup of Nations in June. But I guess that's pretty far away. Oh man, that's two months away! I can't flippin' wait. The State team this year is going to Annapolis to play in a tournament during the same time as the Women's Lacrosse World Cup, and we get to see some of the games! Sweet! We're going to get fucked up at the Cup of Nations (10 Maryland teams, what?) but that's okay, that's what you get for playing lacrosse in Oregon. Anyway, only about two people noticed my haircut today, which actually was really nice. It wasn't a drastic change (I hate getting noticeable haircuts/makeovers because people don't shut up about them) but I felt so much better. I hadn't got my hair cut in a year and eight months! Holy moly! What a life. Bummer to lack of phone numbers, hooray for Old Spaghetti Factory plans. We're gonna work this out.
