03.14.05 - 7:47 pm I was yelling at my laptop for people not updating so I can't procrastinate more, then I realized that other people are probably doing the same thing, and had I helped them at all? Oh, I hadn't? MAYBE I SHOULD UPDATE DUH. First things first: ![]() Does that make any sense? That's a St. Mary's Blues putting a lacrosse shaft across a Cardinal's beak, translated into human life is directly on the upper lip and pushing up into the nose. So, let's guess who got this awesome treatment? THAT'S RIGHT. ME. Woohoo! So basically I can't talk, laugh, smile, frown, or do anything with my face without it hurting. Fun! Yeah! It's not actually all that bad. It could be worse; my nose could be broken, it could have bled all over the place, the ref could have called it. Oh wait, calling it would have been a good thing. But they didn't. Meh. Don't call a shaft to the face, whatever. I GOT SHAFTED IN THE FACE! Sa-wheet. Okay so if that's number one on the list, how about number zero? Would that be more more important? Because this is more important than any face injury....WE WON! I don't remember the score, it was something like 8-7 or 9-7, but we won. It was pretty good. I could go into an in-depth analysis of the game, but I already did that with my dad. One point worth mentioning: SMA was down by a point and the ref blew a whistle right before a girl shot and scored. The ref then decided that to be a goal, which isn't because she blew the whistle, stopping play. That would have tied up the game...can you tell that something of interest happened? Well, it did! Being the speaking captain (the captain that talks to the refs if there is a problem), I talked to her and told her that there is no 'advantage' call in lacrosse, that once the whistle is blown the play stops, and since the shot was taken after the goal, she can't count it. AND SHE SAID "OKAY" AND CALLED BACK THE GOAL. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS....! That was a turning point. We scored, like, three goals straight after that. That was awesome. Other than that, today was normal. I saw some peeps that I really wanted to see, saw some peeps that I didn't want to see, didn't see some peeps that I REALLY wanted to see, and didn't see some peeps that I didn't want to see. Overall, life is good. I'm excited for tomorrow! Yes, shorter classes! Yes, Rose Festival! Good luck, homies!
