02.19.05 - 10:30 pm Today: Polyglot meeting. Ate a lot of food. It was fun. Then tanning, also fun. Left two AWESOME messages for Jenkins with Drocket. Then I came home and left five minutes later with the parentals to go see Bad Education. What an incredible film. I absolutely love Almodóvar. Okay so I've only seen two of his films (Talk to Her and Bad Education) but they were both so good. So good. I really enjoy his style, not to mention the incredible content. Everything about the movie was so....full of feeling, full of style, just full. And, of course, it's hard to not enjoy a film with ![]() in it. What a cutie. The only problem that I have is listening to the damn Spaniards talk...I'm so used to hearing the spanish that comes out of South America that the accent from Spain completely throws me off. Meh, I could still understand most of it. Then my family got the last copy of Napoleon Dynamite at the rental store. As predicted, my dad loved it and my mom was just confused. She said that it didn't have a point. Of course not. Silly Carie. Tomorrow entails lunch with Jenkins, a photography show with my mom, and maybe some homework. I'm really excited to go out to lunch with Jenkins, she's such a cool teacher. I feel like I could talk to her forever. I'm so glad that I had her Freshman year and then again this year. I'm also really glad that I'm spending a lot of time with my parents/in the house. When I used to spend weekends at home because I had nothing else to do, it was sad. Now I have a lot to do and am never at home and I really enjoy having a weekend when I spend a lot of time with them by choice. I guess that's how life works. Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone. They paved paradise and put up a parking lot. Say it with me now: CLICHE!
