My mom gets home today, and the first thing out of her mouth is...well, here's the conversation:

-outside door shuts-
Catie (C): Hi mom.
Carie (M): Do you know that other people can read your....journal, live, live, uh, journal?
C: Mom, I've been doing this for years, you know it's always been like that.
M: Some moms were telling me that they read their kids'.
C: That's nice.
M: They were telling me that they read yours.
C: Ooooookay....
This is the point where my mind starts racing over every single entry that I've ever written
M: A mom was telling me that you write some pretty descriptive stuff. I don't want this to get too explicative. I'm hearing bad things.

So if you have any questions as to why I've friended some of my stuff, that's why. I absolutely hate to make things friended. That's one of my LJ issues--people put their lives on the internet yet still hide them. I've always been pro-public entries. But whatever. Life goes on.

Last captain-run practice today. It was okay. I went to the MAC afterwords to grab a milkshake. I love the MAC. It's so handy. Tuesday starts the real practice, and I'm really excited. I've just got this anxious feeling...we did so well last year under Ali, and I don't want to let the team down. I want to be the leader that she was. I want to take the team to state again. It's going to be tough because of teams like Grant that are coming up and that are going to be good. Ahhhh...I don't want to be known as the captain that screwed up our chances. I want us to get to the finals that we missed out on last year. That would be one of the best achievements of my high school career...not to mention another great credential to add going into college play...captain of the State Champion? How flippin' sweet would that be?

Pressure's on.
