02.06.05 - 9:39 pm I went out to lunch with Rob on Saturday afternoon at Sambi. Japanese food = good. I came back and went tanning with Dross. I really enjoyed it, even though I didn't change in color at all. It was really relaxing. I showered and started to get myself together when Hat came over. Then Dross got here. We finished up ourselves and met Rebecca, Riley, and Mofo at Typhoon! which, by the way, has most excellent food. There I decided my goal for the night: act as high as possible. We were fairly raucous and, well, annoying at the restaurant, but it was fun. We had a while to kill before getting there, so I drove us up Cornell to Skyline, pulled a U-turn in the Skyline/Cornell intersection (smart, CSB), and headed down to Montgomery Park. We danced to some Nelly in the car for about ten minutes before finally heading in. I noticed that there were so many police, and instantly got worried about them being suspicious of my fake-highness. I guess it doesn't help that I was sporting the aviators the entire time. But I never had any trouble with them. Did anyone have any run-ins with the po? I'd be surprised if there weren't any, there sure were a lot of drunk people there. But that made it even better. Wedging myself through the mass of people on the dance floor was so much fun. I had about zero personal space and ended up dancing with everyone at the school because of how close we all were to eachother. The thing that made it so awesome was just the total lack of caring. Usually I'm looking out, trying to find people to impress or guys to dance with, but this time I really didn't care. I acted like a fool, danced really crazy, and probably looked under the influence of something. It was awesome to just let go. It makes me sad that there are not going to be any more dances like that. Yes, there's prom, but it's just not the same. New paragraph. We left the dance and went to McDonalds because the peeps in my car were thirsty, and while driving by Taco Bell we spotted a group of junior guys that were really hot, so we busted it in there. They left around the same time that we got there, and while we were debating stalking them, they start honking. Then the guy who was at the soda machine goes out and gets in their car...yeah we were definitely talking about them with their friend RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. Oh well. We dropped Hat at home, went to Burgerville only to find that they were closed, went to Sesame Donuts so that I could get a milkshake, and headed downtown to go dancing. But Catie, you just went dancing for three hours? That's right, my friend. We went to The Zone. God, what a place. It was pretty sketch. Some guy came up to me right away and started dancing with me, but he was really gross and couldn't dance. Lucky Mofo got a hot guy to dance with. There were a bunch of really gross peeps, but then there were these two guys who were really cool. One had the emo glasses and a Fall Out Boy t-shirt on...how cute is that? He was really tall and really hot. Then he had a friend who looked kind of like Charlie but cuter, and was totally just a funny kid. I wish we had talked to them, they totally seemed really cool and as out of place there as we were. Oh and I saw a girl from lacrosse there. It was so random. After about ten minutes in that place I popped down my shades and pulled the high card again. I went for wigged-out hippie. Yeah I'm pretty sure that I achieved that. We bounced from there around 2:30, and started to walk back to my car. When we got there, I noticed that Mofo had opened the door before I had unlocked it. The first thing came to mind was "Fuck, I didn't lock the car before we left, I hope that no one stole our stuff." Then Dross notices that there's glass all over the back seat...SHIT. Someone broke the little triangular window on the back door. We looked in our purses and there was nothing. Cell phones, bank cards, Dross' glucometer, gone. Then I opened the trunk, and I saw the bags and purses there and figured "Phew, at least they didn't get in the trunk." I drove for about a minute and a half until I found a police officer to signal over and asked him about what we should do. He said to just go home and file a report in the morning. We got back to Mofo's house and I looked in the trunk. Well, FUCK. They did go through it. My camera was gone. I know some other stuff was missing from Mofo or Dross, but I can't remember what. We went inside, called Washington Mutual, called my mom, and went to sleep. Okay here's what I don't understand: they take the money, cell phones, cards, etc. They take my vehicle registration. They don't take my expensive purse that they could sell. They don't take lacrosse sticks. I called to cancel cards, cell phones, etc, so I got some info about what went down with those. They didn't make any calls. They didn't make any transactions with my account. My family can't figure out if they were either really smart identity theft criminals or really dumb street criminals. I also don't understand how there weren't police around to stop them. On our way there and on our way out there were police everywhere, and in order to do what they did to our stuff it probably took at least four or five minutes, enough time for a police to drive by. Suck. Anyway. Today I got home, cleaned up the car, and basically chilled until I went to watch the Superbowl at my aunt's house. Philly, I rooted for you, but you're stupid. Too many interceptions. Silly Eagles. I fell asleep a couple of times, and I ate a whole lot of food. I'm so full. Right now I'm just really numb. I've been sick since San Diego so I feel like crap. Tomorrow I've got to go to Wells Fargo to recover my account, go to Washington Mutual to talk about getting my card back, and file a police report for the whole event. Plus I've got to get a new MAC card (damn you criminals you stole my entrance into a prestigious athletic club! RAR), stop feeling sick, and hope that my feet recover. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. My shoes were so uncomfortable, yet I wore them from 7PM-3AM. Smart. I still can't walk on the balls of my feel, I have to walk on the heels, and very slowly at that. So overall: I need to start looking for a date to Prom.
